This species is recognizable by its gold spotted pattern and is a prized catch in saltwater regions of the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
Where they live
Found on the continental shelf in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, yellowspotted trevally prefer rocky and coral reef areas, offshore banks, and seagrass beds as adults. They inhabit waters down to 100 meters deep and travel in large schools.
