The whitetip reef shark is a slender shark commonly found resting in coral reefs. It is a nocturnal predator feeding primarily on fish and mollusks. Known for its distinctive white-tipped fins, this species is popular among anglers and divers alike.

Where they live

Found throughout the Indo-Pacific on coral reefs and continental shelves, from shallow waters down to 330 meters deep. Prefers reef environments and clean clear waters where it often rests during the day.
