The white sucker is a freshwater fish native to North America, known for its robust fusiform body. It is a popular game fish that grows up to 65 cm and nearly 3 kg. White suckers move to shallower waters during dawn and dusk to feed.
Where they live
Found in a variety of freshwater habitats including rocky pools, riffles, creeks, rivers, and large lakes across North America. Prefers clear, cool waters and can be found at depths exceeding 45 meters but moves to shallower areas to feed at sunrise and sunset.
