The Warsaw grouper is a large, solitary fish found mainly on rocky bottoms in deep waters. It preys on various crabs, shrimps, lobsters, and fish. Known for its impressive size, it is a prized game fish in the Atlantic and Gulf of Mexico regions.
Where they live
Inhabits rocky bottoms from shallow reefs to depths over 500 meters in the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico. Juveniles may be found near jetties and shallow reefs.
