Warren's sixgill sawshark is a distinctive elongated shark known for its six gill slits and toothed snout shaped like a saw. It inhabits deep and shallow saltwater regions across the Atlantic and Indian Oceans near Africa. This predator feeds on a variety of prey including fish, cephalopods, and crustaceans found on the sea floor.

Where they live

Found in saltwater from shallow depths of 10 meters down to 915 meters across African Atlantic and Indian Ocean waters. Prefers benthic zones where it hunts for prey.
