The tiger fish is a fierce freshwater predator known for its sharp teeth and aggressive hunting style. It is prized by anglers for its strength and fight. This species can grow over a meter in length and is found widely in African freshwater systems.
Where they live
Tiger fish inhabit various freshwater environments in Africa, including sandy and rocky streams as well as deep standing waters. They are especially abundant in Lake Rukwa and parts of the Caprivi region but are absent from the Nyasa basin.
