The Thicklip grey mullet is a versatile fish found in freshwater, brackish, and saltwater environments across Europe, Asia, and the Atlantic. It has an elongated body and can grow up to 75 cm long. This species often migrates and feeds by browsing on algae, small invertebrates, and detritus on the bottom.
Where they live
Inhabits shallow coastal waters, brackish lagoons, and freshwater areas usually between 2 to 15 meters deep. Common throughout Europe and Asia, including the Atlantic and Mediterranean regions, moving northwards in summer.
