The Tench is a freshwater and brackish water fish known for its ability to thrive in warm, weedy lakes and pools with muddy bottoms. It can tolerate low oxygen levels and often shelters in dense vegetation. This species is recognized as a game fish and can grow up to 70 cm and weigh up to 7.5 kg.
