The stone flounder is a flatfish known for its adaptability to various water types including freshwater, brackish, and saltwater. It has a short, deep body shape and can reach up to 50 cm in length. This species inhabits sandy and muddy bottoms in coastal areas across Asia and the Pacific.

Where they live

Found on sandy and muddy coastal seabeds from shallow waters down to 150 meters depth in Asia and the Pacific. Occurs in fresh, brackish, and saltwater.
