The Sichel, also known as the Knife or Sabrefish, is a slender freshwater and brackish water fish found across Europe and Asia. It feeds actively on small fish, plankton, and benthic organisms. It can grow up to 60 cm in length and weighs up to 2 kg.

Where they live

Inhabits shallow freshwater and brackish waters up to 20 meters deep across Europe and Asia, including the Mediterranean and Atlantic regions.
