The sharpnose stingray is a bottom-dwelling ray found mainly on sandy and muddy continental shelves. It inhabits coral reef areas and feeds on crustaceans. It is a prized catch for anglers targeting diverse marine species.

Where they live

Found in brackish and saltwater habitats across the Atlantic, Pacific, and Indian Oceans, mostly on inner continental shelves over sandy and mud bottoms near coral reefs, at depths up to 50 meters.
