How to catch Sergeant-major
Abudefduf saxatilis

The Sergeant-major is a strikingly patterned saltwater fish found around coral and rocky reefs. Known for forming large groups, it mainly browses on algae but also consumes small plankton. Its compact, deep body and distinctive stripes make it easily recognizable to anglers.
Where they live
Common around inshore and offshore coral or rocky reefs in the Atlantic, Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, and Mediterranean, usually in shallow waters up to 20 meters deep. Juveniles inhabit tide pools, while adults prefer shallow reef tops.
