How to catch Semutundu

The Semutundu is a large African freshwater catfish known for its active feeding around dusk and dawn. Juveniles feed on aquatic invertebrates, while adults are mostly piscivorous, hunting various fish and larger invertebrates. It can grow to over 1.2 meters and is prized by anglers as a game fish.
Where they live
Found in freshwater bodies across Africa, Semutundu inhabit depths ranging from shallow waters to about 80 meters. They are most active during twilight hours and prefer habitats rich in aquatic life.
