Redfish, also known as Eastern nannygai or Golden snapper, are medium-sized saltwater fish found mainly on the continental shelf and slope. They school near the seabed during the day and move to upper water layers at night to feed. These fish are predators that hunt macrofauna in their environment.

Where they live

Inhabits saltwater regions of the Pacific, typically found on the continental shelf and slope from 10 to 450 meters deep. Schools near the seabed by day, moving higher in the water column at night.
