The red pike conger is a large eel-like fish recognized by its elongated body and cone-shaped head. It lives on sandy and muddy bottoms and preys on smaller fishes and invertebrates. This species can grow impressively long and heavy but is not typically targeted as a game fish.

Where they live

Found along sandy and muddy bottoms of the Pacific Ocean near North America, from shallow waters around 10 meters down to about 100 meters deep.
