The Pacuma toadfish is a predatory species found in shallow to moderately deep brackish and saltwater environments. It has a fusiform body shape and can grow up to 57 cm in length. Known for hunting a variety of crustaceans and fishes, it thrives in Caribbean and Atlantic coastal waters.

Found in brackish and saltwater from shallow 1 meter depths down to 36 meters. Distributed throughout Caribbean and Atlantic coastal regions.
