The Pacific graysby is a shy, secretive grouper found on coral reefs and rocky shores. It has a streamlined body and reaches up to about 39 cm in length. This species hunts smaller marine animals and is prized as a game fish.

Where they live

Inhabits coral reefs and rocky shorelines in the Pacific waters off North America, usually up to depths of 80 meters.
