The Oval flounder is a small flatfish known for its short, deep body shape. It inhabits coastal saltwater environments and preys on various small marine creatures. While not a typical game fish, it contributes to the ecosystem as a predator of macrofauna.
Where they live
Found in shallow to moderately deep saltwater regions (10-60 meters) of the Pacific along North America. Prefers sandy or muddy bottoms where it can blend in.
