The Mazatlan sole is a small flatfish known for its short and deep body shape. It inhabits shallow coastal waters and can also venture into brackish lagoons and freshwater. This species feeds on a variety of small bottom-dwelling animals.

Where they live

Found in shallow coastal waters up to 20 meters deep, including coastal lagoons and freshwater areas along the Pacific coast of North America.
