How to catch Longfin yellowtail

The Longfin yellowtail, also known as Almaco amberjack, is a powerful saltwater gamefish prized for its fighting ability. It inhabits outer reef slopes and offshore banks and is both pelagic and demersal at adult stages. This species primarily hunts smaller fish and some invertebrates, making it a predator in its marine environment.
Where they live
Found in the Atlantic and Mediterranean, it lives from shallow waters around 5 meters deep to offshore reefs and banks exceeding 160 meters depth. Juveniles often stay near floating debris while adults roam reefs and offshore areas.
