The Largetooth sawfish is a distinctive elongated fish known for its long toothed snout or saw. It inhabits tropical and subtropical waters across freshwater, brackish, and coastal marine environments. This species can grow very large, reaching lengths of up to 7 meters and weighing as much as 600 kilograms.
Where they live
Found in shallow waters up to 10 meters deep, the Largetooth sawfish lives in freshwater rivers, brackish estuaries, and coastal saltwater regions across Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
