The Island trevally is a striking saltwater gamefish known for its power and speed. It inhabits inshore waters around oceanic islands and reefs, often found alone or in small groups. This predator feeds on small fish and crabs, making it a challenging catch for anglers.
Where they live
Found in inshore waters of continental shelves and around oceanic islands in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Prefers sandy river basins, lagoon channels, and seaward reefs from shallow waters to depths of about 168 meters.
