The hound needlefish is a slender, elongated predator found in shallow coastal waters, often near reefs and seagrass beds. It is a solitary or small-group hunter of smaller fish. This species can grow quite large, reaching up to 1.5 meters in length.
Where they live
Found in shallow waters over lagoons and seaward reefs in the Atlantic and Asia. Adults often inhabit seagrass beds up to 13 meters deep.
