The green moray is a large, eel-like saltwater fish known for its vibrant green color and secretive behavior. It inhabits coral reefs and rocky areas in the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico. This predator hunts a variety of crustaceans and fish, often lurking in crevices or holes.
Where they live
Found in shallow to moderately deep coastal waters (1-50 meters) across the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico, usually around coral reefs and rocky substrates where it is cleaned by small gobies.
