The Greater forkbeard is a deepwater marine fish known for its elongated body and forked tail. It inhabits deep demersal zones and preys on various small marine animals. Although not a typical game fish, it is an interesting species for deep-sea anglers.

Where they live

Found in deep saltwater regions of the Atlantic and Mediterranean, typically inhabiting depths from 10 to over 1300 meters, favoring the 500-750 meter range in areas like the Rockall Trough.
