The Graysby is a secretive, solitary grouper found in coral reefs and seagrass beds. It typically remains near hiding spots and has a small home range during the day. This species is a predatory hunter feeding on various small reef fish.
Where they live
Found in coral reefs, seagrass beds, and rocky reef ledges at depths up to 170 meters across the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico, and Atlantic waters near North America.
