The Giant African threadfin is a large, powerful predator found in African waters. It grows up to 2 meters long and can weigh as much as 75 kilograms. This species is known for inhabiting brackish environments like estuaries and lagoons, where it hunts crustaceans and smaller fish.

Where they live

Found in shallow brackish waters over muddy bottoms such as estuaries and lagoons in Africa and the Atlantic region. It also ventures into freshwater and saltwater zones up to 55 meters deep.
