The Dory snapper is a medium-sized predatory fish found in inshore waters. Juveniles inhabit seagrass beds before moving to reefs and rocky shores. It feeds mainly on small fishes and benthic crustaceans such as shrimps and crabs.
Where they live
Found in shallow to moderate depths from 3 to 35 meters, the Dory snapper inhabits seagrass beds as juveniles and later moves to reef and rocky shore areas in brackish and saltwater regions of the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
