The Bull shark is a robust, aggressive coastal and freshwater predator known for its ability to thrive in both saltwater and freshwater environments. It is notable for traveling long distances, including far upriver from the ocean. Adults commonly inhabit estuaries, while juveniles can be found several kilometers inland.

Found in shallow coastal waters, bays, estuaries, rivers, and lakes across North and South America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. It frequently moves between freshwater, brackish, and saltwater zones.
