The broadnose skate is a bottom-dwelling fish found in both Atlantic and Pacific salt waters. It grows up to about 1 meter in length and feeds on a variety of crustaceans and fish. This species is not typically targeted as a game fish.
Where they live
Found in saltwater from shallow depths around 80 meters to deep waters over 300 meters in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Prefers benthic zones where it hunts prey along the sea floor.
