Bluefish are aggressive predators known for their strong fighting ability, making them popular among game fishers. They undergo dietary and habitat changes as they grow, moving from oceanic to coastal waters. These fish display seasonal migrations, traveling to warmer waters in winter.
Where they live
Bluefish inhabit inshore brackish and saltwater areas across Europe, the Atlantic, and the Mediterranean. They travel seasonally from higher latitudes to subtropical regions and can be found from shallow waters down to depths of 200 meters.
