The Blue-lined large-eye bream is a striking saltwater fish known for its large eyes and blue lines. It inhabits offshore reefs and rocky bottoms, feeding mainly on bottom-dwelling invertebrates and small fishes. This species can grow quite large and is a popular target for anglers.

Where they live

Found in the Pacific and Indian Oceans, this fish lives mainly on offshore reefs, continental shelf trawling grounds, and rocky bottoms from shallow waters around 20 meters to depths of 170 meters. Juveniles prefer inshore muddy substrates.
