The Blackfin flounder is a deep-water flatfish with a short, deep body. It lives on sandy or muddy sea floors and preys on small marine animals. It is not typically sought after as a game fish.
Where they live
Found in Pacific saltwater at depths from 8 to 1600 meters, preferring sandy or muddy substrates beyond 30 meters deep.
