The Bighead catfish is a large, elongated freshwater fish known for its broad head. It can survive in shallow waters and even buries itself in mud during dry periods. This species is an active predator feeding on various aquatic insects and small animals.

Where they live

Found in shallow, open waters of medium to large rivers, stagnant canals, and flooded fields in Asia and Oceania. It can tolerate both freshwater and brackish environments and often buries in mud during dry seasons.
