Where they live
Bigeye tuna live in tropical and subtropical Atlantic and Mediterranean waters, commonly occupying deep thermocline layers between 150-250 meters during the day and occasionally rising to shallower depths. They tolerate lower temperatures and oxygen levels compared to other tunas.
