How to catch Australian grayling
Prototroctes maraena

The Australian grayling is an elongated fish known for forming large schools before spawning. It inhabits cool, clear rivers and creeks, feeding on small crustaceans, insects, larvae, and algae. Spawning occurs from February to May, releasing thousands of eggs that settle downstream.
Where they live
Found in cool, clear freshwater and brackish creeks and rivers in Oceania, often over gravel bottoms with alternating pools and rapids. Also occurs in brackish and saltwater areas nearby.
