The Atlantic lizardfish is a sleek, elongated predator found primarily in insular waters. It inhabits sand and sand-rock bottoms and is known for its agility in capturing prey. This fish mainly feeds on smaller fish but can prey on various animals.

Where they live

Found in saltwater regions including the Atlantic and Mediterranean, the Atlantic lizardfish dwells at depths from 1 to 400 meters over sandy or mixed sand-rock substrates.
