The Atka mackerel is a saltwater predatory fish found in the North Pacific. It is known for its streamlined fusiform body and can grow up to around 56 cm in length and weigh up to 2 kg. This species hunts various marine prey including small fish and squid.

Where they live

Found in saltwater environments of the North Pacific, Atka mackerel inhabit depths from the surface down to around 720 meters. They are common in cooler coastal regions near North America.
